Why Give to JCAL?

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning is a creative home for anyone who steps through our doors, delivering inspiring artistic and educational experiences across our four pillars of Music, Dance, Theater, and Visual Arts for more than 50 years. Every year, JCAL welcomes 58,000 visitors—neighbors, friends, parents, children, artists—to our Jamaica Arts Center and Jamaica Performing Arts Center in Southeast Queens.

JCAL is the only multidisciplinary arts center—and only member of NYC’s Cultural Institutions Group (CIG)—located in Southeast Queens. Our mission is to offer quality visual and performing arts programs and accessible education programs to encourage participation in the arts. JCAL is a nonprofit organization that relies on community support, and public and private donors, to cover more than 75% of our annual expenses.
