Her first solo exhibition in NYC reflected the unknown progression in one's subconscious mind under the title "Progression through Pandemic" which was praised by many art critics.
Alma participated in exhibitions in several countries such as Bangladesh, and Bhutan, and several states in the USA such as Boston, Ohio, and Georgia. “Memoir” was the first and biggest group exhibition with 35 Bengali artists in NYC and was curated by Alma Leya. She not only ensured the exhibition was worth praise, but her leadership and execution were appreciated by the Director of JCAL. Two of Alma’s public art presenting Bangladeshi folklore stands tall in Cleveland, Ohio. The art pieces are greatly appreciated by the Bangladeshi folks living there and welcomed by the different communities.
