In celebration of Pride Month, the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL) proudly presents JCAL Pride Be You, a dynamic evening of entertainment, visual arts, fashion, and connection. Taking place on Thursday, June 25 at 7 PM at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center, Be You is a vibrant showcase uplifting the creativity and expression of the LGBTQ+ community in and around Jamaica, Queens.
Curated by Randy Houston, Be You brings together a diverse and exciting lineup of performers spanning music, dance, and multidisciplinary forms. The evening will feature performances by CJ Smith, Destiny Davis, Rae, Kwesi Comp, Madisyn, Kingdom Dance Co., and Infinite - each contributing to a high-energy program celebrating individuality, artistry, and cultural expression.
Designed as both a showcase and a gathering space, Be You provides a platform for emerging and established LGBTQ+ artists to share their work, connect with audiences, and celebrate identity through the power of the arts.
“Be You is about more than a single night - it’s about creating a space where people feel seen, valued, and celebrated,” said a JCAL representative. “Through this event, we’re intentionally centering joy, creativity, and self-expression while uplifting the voices of LGBTQ+ artists in our community. Pride is both a celebration and a reminder of the importance of visibility and access, and we’re proud to create a platform where artists can share their stories, connect with audiences, and contribute to a cultural dialogue that is inclusive, vibrant, and ever-evolving.”
