JCAL presents "Collected Thoughts" Visual Arts Exhibition featuring six emerging artists

  • March 13, 2023

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) is pleased to announce that the Visual Arts Exhibition Collected Thoughts is now on view at 161-04 Jamaica Avenue. The exhibition is a part of JCAL’s Artists Residency and Training Seminar Series, known as ARTWorks. ARTWorks is a 10-month Fellowship focused on career sustainability for emerging, underrepresented visual artists in New York City. Six emerging artists developed and created individual and collaborative artwork displaying their talents and vision.

JCAL Seminar Fellows are participating in a curated, 8-week group exhibition in JCAL’s Community Gallery while each Resident Fellow receives a curated 4-week solo exhibition in JCAL’s Miller Gallery.

“JCAL continues its commitment to present works by underserved and underrepresented visual artists by restoring their ARTWorks Residency Program 2022,” Says Project Manager Lisa Wade. “This exhibition called Collected Thoughts reflects the vision and talents of six emerging artists who completed the residency.”
