3 Events, 1 Day! February 25th at JCAL

  • February 14, 2023

This month is loaded with new JCAL events and opportunities! February 25th will bring three (!) exciting events to our locations.

At 12pm, we'll present JCAL Arts Classes Open House. The event will feature free demos with professional teaching artists from our upcoming Spring Semester. Attendees will get a hands-on feel for each of our classes as our teaching artists lead interactive workshops.

Later that evening, we'll host must-see performances at both JCAL and JPAC. 7pm at JPAC, we're presenting a West African Dance show, by Kofago Dance Ensemble. Kofago Dance Ensemble exists at the nexus of African dance traditions and the Black experience in America. Their work as a dance company is focused on healing and ritual through the performing arts.

Meanwhile, we're presenting Queen Bess (The Bessie Coleman Story) at JCAL, at 8pm. This special play will celebrate the life and career of Bessie Coleman. Coleman was the first African American, and the first Native American to receive her international pilot's license.

Which event will you attend on February 25th?

Also, reminder -- JCAL Members currently have free access to our upcoming Queen Bess and Kofago events, along with 20% off of all JCAL classes and $20 Broadway tickets. Save big by becoming an official member here.
