Julia del Palacio
Queens CollegeJulia del Palacio is a dancer, historian, and arts administrator. Born and raised in Mexico City, Julia moved to New York in 2005 to pursue her graduate studies. While completing her doctoral degree in Latin American history at Columbia University, she co-founded and directed the traditional son jarocho music and dance project, Radio Jarocho, with which she toured extensively in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. After finishing her PhD in 2014, Julia joined the staff of Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College, where she is now the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Development. Julia continues to play music and lives in Richmond Hill with her husband and daughter.
