Arts partnership with Queens-based schools and senior centers

CASA/SU-CASA is an annual partnership with New York City to deliver performing and visual arts programs to elementary, middle, and high school students, and to neighborhood senior centers.

Visual Arts

Participants explore a range of mediums, including painting, drawing, jewelry-making, and crafts. Curated events highlight their work in beautifully exhibitions that celebrate each participant’s artistic voice

Performing Arts

In response to community interest, JCAL expanded its offerings in storytelling, music, theater, and movement-based arts. Classes now include creative dramatics, musical theatre, dance for wellness, and storytelling circles.

Health and Wellness

JCAL’s Integration Movement classes promote flexibility, circulation, and cognitive stimulation. Activities are tailored to suit the physical needs of participants while keeping them active and engaged.
