JCAL is please to announce twenty three artists have been admitted into STUDIO LLC, Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning's (JCAL) professional development program for emerging artists.
The selected artists are:

Three of the twenty-three selected artists, Christine Wang, Nung-Hsin Hu, and Chad Stayrook were chosen for the Van Lier Fellowships, and will receive a $7,000 stipend.
The enrolled artists will meet monthly, except for the summer months from February 2010 to January 2011. Culminating STUDIO LLC in January 2011, all enrolled artists will be invited to a group show.
STUDIO LLC's seminar series begins Wednesday, February 24th. The seminar series is open to all professional artists who want help identifying their professional goals and creating a long-term plan. Admission is $10/seminar payable at the door or in advance via our website.

Your Studio Practices: Do what you want to do. Issues related to curators and galleries. - Jackie Battenfield, the former Program Facilitator of the Bronx Museum's Artist in the Marketplace (AIM) Program, will introduce aspects to accomplish successful studio practices.
